Who is Kitchen Takeover for?
Our pop-up restaurant is for wild at heart foodies on the hunt for a ‘big city’ style food adventure. Think the intimacy of an East London supper club mixed with the gastronomy of a top Melbourne laneway eatery and the creativity of a Copenhagen restaurant.
What will you eat?
Kitchen Takeover is a revolving restaurant so it the food changes each time.
Who is cooking?
Shane Yardley is a chef with platefuls of experience. Having spent the first part of his career training in some of the world’s most renowned restaurants including the Sanderson and Bistro Largo, he did a long stint as Simon Gault’s right hand man. He has now returned to the fold as a tutor at Toi Ohomai teaching the next generation how to cook like a pro. Career highlights include Head Chef of Euro, Fish and a guest judge on Masterchef. You’re in for a treat.
How does it work?
The set menu will be announced when you arrive and guests will be seated on a long table so you get to meet like-minded foodies.
What if I have dietary requirements?
We try and work around as many dietary requirements as we can however because of the nature of our revolving restaurant it is not always possible to accommodate everyone. If you have a specific request, please get in touch prior to buying your ticket so we can let you know if it is possible.
Is there always a plant based or vegetarian option?
No, this option is theme dependent so please read the event information carefully. We will always state if we can or cannot accommodate this for each restaurant.
Where is it located?
The location changes for every pop-up and is secret until the night you dine.
What happens is I have a change in dietary requirements?
Be sure to email firstname.lastname@example.org with any change of dietary information and/or mobile contact information up to 48 hours before the event.
Can I share the location or images of the event?
Sharing location details or images from Kitchen Takeover is strictly forbidden, with the exception of a designated photo area.
